Congrats on your new DJ, it looks great!

Thanks for sharing all the pics. I've been contemplating one myself, since I don't own any of the new movements.

It's funny I thought I'd like the blue with this same configuration, but I didn't next to this one. Also had this with flutted and jubilee and it wasn't for me.
I was excited to have been invited to a Baselworld preview show earlier this week, particularly as I've been awaiting this watch since the DD40 came out last year. I've debated a white dial vs blue DJII for years & was certain that I'll be deciding one of those 2 colors for the DJ 41.

However first look at the rhodium dial & I'm in love! I'm fairly certain the gray dial DJ 41 will be my next watch! (I may also get the blue dial as well)

Gorgeous! I've been looking to get that rhodium dial on the jubilee.

Haha. I think I've read others saying just the opposite about proportions. Eye of the beholder......

And it is a stunner. I always thought DJ fluted was too flashy and smooth too plain. I dig this one.

now, that's the modern DJ to fall in love with!
gray OP39 = gray DJ41 = perfection.

Love this DJ41. May be my next watch.

Question for you - just saw one of these in person today and loved the rhodium dial. Sounds like you also saw a fluted and jubilee but didn't love it. Thoughts on how fluted/oyster combination would look? I'm not a fan of the jubilee, but do like the fluted bezel.

But it may be that your combination is my favorite.

I tried on this exact watch yesterday, Its beautiful.
However the "Rolex" salesman kept telling me it was not the new DJ41
I pointed out the difference between the DJII and DJ41 that they had sitting next to each other in the case, I also showed him the 12 series part number and he still insisted that "they havent got the new ones in yet"

I tried it on and it looked great but I walked away scratching my head about how that guy was their "Rolex" guy.

As a general advice: don't take picture from that near distance, it distorts how the watch really looks like from a 3rd person perspective.

I did see this dial with flutted ans oyster. I also saw it with jubilee and flutted. I did like flutted and oyster more than I thought I would. Much much better IMO than the DJ II flutted bezel. I thought the flutted on the DJ2 was just way too big. All will come down to when you swe them both side by side

I ordered this exact configuration, myself! You have fine taste. :-p

Seeing yours makes me that much more excited to receive mine. I'm expecting a call any day now!

Good luck with it! Wear it in good health.
