Having a 16700 and a 16570, every time I have to set the date on the ExpII I really appreciate the quick set of the 16700. Two time zones are enough for me, fwiw. I love the watch's versatility. For the near future at least it is a Coke!!!

My full set 2005 D Serial Pepsi, came back from RSC last month for a full service.
Looks so fresh that I've yet to wear it since .
Don't think that I would part with it (even with the crazy prices the 16710s seem to command these days) as I intend to hand it down to my son since it's his birth year.

Having said that, since you already have a 16610 (and was looking to get the SD43), budget wise, why not put a newer GMTc ie Batman in consideration as well?

All that being said, I tried on a 2003 GMT Pepsi today and WOW! I think I may be in love! looking for some images from my friendly, fellow TRF members if anyone owns one. I have 2006 11610 that I still adore and wear quit a bit.

I'm thinking it will be at least a year until the SD43 (or if you prefer, SD50) will either be widely available and prices coming into a "calm" range. Maybe I pick something up to hold me over?

Thoughts?

No way! You won't believe this but i was discussing the very same thing today. I am no 7 on the list for the SD43 and was actually close to getting the batman but it just didn't sing to me. However i have been seriously considering the pepsi and think it looks amazing. But I also want the new sky with blue dezel so i am all over the place :-)

Out of interest, where are you looking to get it from?

Happens all the time...I think I want something then I try on something else and am blown away.

If you buy right, you will be OK with the GMT. Or, you could always flip the sub for the SD when and if it becomes available.
