I bought a GMT2c and found it completely uncomfortable for my wrist. Luckily it sold well so I didn't lose too much on the transaction.

Love my TT serti sub and SS GMTIIC but of course wish they had been less expensive. All in all, I get lots of pleasure wearing them. I had thought of selling the IIC to get a new ceramic LV but decided against it. I've also toyed with selling my TT serti and going to costa rica for some less expensive but expansive dental work because here in the inflated states it would be easily 20-30 grand. Do I want my beautiful sub or bright white teeth? tough choice? Wish there was an affordable dentist amongst us that could help me.

My only (albeit minor) regret is that I couldn't afford to keep my 16610 when I got my 16613. Other than that, no regrets ever.

Absolutely none. I don't always get the most popular, but sometimes I do. More importantly however I get the one or ones that catches my eye. I get those that work for me.
There were always be other ones I would like to get, but I like those I have already gotten a whole lot.

never regreted buying either my Date or Datejust, both are great watches and each has its own spthe white special feature. I like my Date because of the thick acrylic crystal and the DJ for its champagne Dial and size. I did have the feeling "holy crap I just spent a good amount of $ on a Rolex". However this feeling wears off in about a day and everytime I look at either Rolex on my wrist and I think wow thats nice. I am always on the prowl for the next one, and the a Bluesy might be the next one to hit my wrist, what can I say I m a Two-Tone whore.

Which one grabs ya?!
Stay away from my wrist, Art!
I regretted purchasing a TT Everose TOG... ...so Mark (Theken) helped me reverse my action by taking the TOG off my hands. I now wear one of the two I desire to wear... My next move MIGHT be to sell the Great White and purchase a TT Bluesy. Watches come and watches go, but the two ExpyIIs will stay. |

I purchased a few watches that I just didn't connect with. Nice watches, just not for me. I tossed them back into the sea and purchased something else.
White dialed Exp II is a sweet everyday wear that can be worn anywhere.

Last week I bought my GMT IIc, it is the most money I have ever spent on a new watch, do I regret it? No I love it, besides the way I look at it finically is, there are not many things I life that you can wear every day for 5 years that stand a good chance of being worth the same amount at the end

thought a lot before buying it, my wife persuaded me that i deserved some "extravagance" and to be honest that was maybe the best purchase i've ever made. i couldn't be happier with any other watch.

I don't think its regret but more of losing interest in particular watch you bought after a while. Sell it, problem solved :D

If you keep logging into TRF, and checking out what other people have you may end up regretting.
But the Explorer II is a great piece in either colour. I would lean towards the white, as your next purchase will probably be black. Good luck! |

Just as I was getting automatic watches I bought a mid size Omega Seamaster 2254 thinking my wrist was too small for a full size.
I was wrong. Sold that little thing an never looked back :-) |

My only regret is that I don't have the income to justify buying every Rolex that strikes my fancy.
I'm very fortunate to own what I consider two classics, the Explorer I (114270Z) and the SS DateJust on Jubilee (116200V), that are very similar, yet very different--theme and variation. As to the black and white Explorers II, I would suggest going with the black, because black is much more versatile, say for casual and business attire (coat and tie), unless of course, versatility is less of a concern. In that case, go with the one that you really want, because I know that in your heart you know which one you really want.

I'ma be completely honest. I regret my first Rolex, it was a DateJust. I had a Rolex itch, and I thought the DJ was the perfect answer. While its a beautiful watch, it just didn't speak to me like a Submariner or SeaDweller. So I end up selling my DJ and got the SD. Now I'm completely satisfied =)

Once back in 2001, I paid a slight premium over MRSP for the S/S Daytona. I regretted it because over time, I found myself wearing it less and less often. This told me I had probably bought into the watch's mystique or reputation instead of actually wanting the watch for its appearance, functionality, enjoyment factor etc. So yes, I have regretted a Rolex purchase.
(Eventually sold the Daytona, a decision which I don't regret. It's an attractive watch but isn't for me). |

I usually research things to death, so I've never had any regrets with any of my watch purchases. I think either way after you buy your first Rolex you'll probably end up wanting another one anyway! :)
