I agree with you on the PCLs, but what exactly did you find to be "poorly designed" about the ceramic bezel insert?

I used to hate the PCLs too. Now I love them and find the brushed bracelets bland. I love the brushed look still but I think the PCLs give the watch a little bit of a POP without being over bearing.

The Omega ceramic bezels on the other hand have marker/numbers flush with the ceramic leaving no edges to chip. And the Liquidmetal is 3X stronger than stainless steel and impervious to scratches. Fr. John† |

Zero regrets. That's not to say that I do not end up lusting for the one I did not get. Over researching does not help, all the contrary ...

Before I bought my first Rolex ('03 Pepsi GMT Master II) I wondered myself if I would have regrets after putting down that kind of money for a watch. Until I read your question, I don't think I've ever thought twice about it since.
Buying your first Rolex, especially a model you've had your heart set on for so long, is always a special event.... an accomplishment even. It marked a milestone of success in my life, and probably because of this association, I don't think I would... or could ever regret it. |

No regrets, the GMT has been perfect for my uses, and still is, but at the time the dealer was trying to get me to part with an extra 7 quid and buy this windup stopwatch he couldn’t shift, PN Daytona! Arrrrgh!!!!
Still, as I have no intention of selling, who cares. |

the purchase of any Rolex or similar watch is certainly not chump change, i've always stewed over the potential purchase for many hours prior to pulling the trigger. i might sometimes feel guilty spending that amount of money on myself for a short while after but, i can honestly say i'm happy with all my purchases, no regrets at all

my only regret is not picking the right model before I settled with my sea dweller. I lost a little money flipping several before i settled down. I've stopped looking at watches now, because now I want a Sinn and IWC !

I bought my first Rolex,a used TT GMT in 1986. I still love it. 2 years ago I treated myself to a SS Black Daytona. I love them both. No regrets.

I dont regret any Rolex purchase, even my Date which doesnt get wrist time now because of the DJ. My date was the watch that introduced me to Rolex.

No regrets!
The only downside for me is that shortly after I bought my Rolex Sub 16610 I got assessment from RSC and it needed to have movement service. So I am right now 2 weeks into it without my Rollie... But no regrets! |

I was sick about spending that much money on a watch the first time, but then I discovered some people pay retail and I felt much better. And then you realize that Rollies hold their value and that if you want something different you can usually trade it for what you want and not suffer much at all :-D

YM Platy, beautiful watch but I could not get used to the monotone color, got rid of it a week later.
