168000 Submariner
Anyone know how many of these watches Rolex actually made? Also how long did production of this model last? Thanks in advance John Szabo.

Did you bother to search the Reference Forum for "168000"? If you did you would have seen this information and some links for further info:
The Sumariner ref 168000 was the first one that use the 904L and it was in the middle of 1988. The next Submariner ref 16610 was released a few months into 1989 so the ref 168000 was only at the market around 6 months. Here is a blog by TRF's own Orchi that has some overview of the 168000 as well: http://orchipalar.blogspot.com/2008/...ubmariner.html |

Nobody knows how many they made. Some are really good at guessing/calculating though.

Made for a short time of approximately 6 months or so
But I believe that since there is no visual difference from 16800, there is little to no premium on this reference. |

I agree but must clarify "no difference" with the exception of the matte dialed 16800.

still can't believe why they are so cheap
They are by far the most rare sub (I think they were made 9 months But however they don't get a big premium Being so rare it should cost 20K, but it's only 5 or 6 K.............................. VERY strange |

Well I think if it would have some sort of physical and easy to spot difference from the 16800 and 16610 it would be worth 20K... Say a red Submariner text...

Thats simply because there is very little difference from a 16610 and anything rare IMHO is watches under 200 units.
