Thanks . I'm actually surprised how non-different the two appear in terms of size; I thought there would be a significant difference (more like the Exp. I new vs. old, even though that watch grew by more). In fact, looking from lug to lug to lug to lug (as though they were four corners) I dare say the size differential actually appears smaller than 2mm, though maybe someone who can take a tape measure to the actual watches can post these dimensions as well? Also, can I assume thickness is roughly comparable?
Oh, and would anyone else be unsurprised if this case became the next home for the GMT, if its current case cannot accommodate the EXP II movement and Rolex decides they only need one dual time movement? Personally I hope they don't, as I want the 3186 to stay in production for decades (to ensure replacement parts for my EXP II 40mm will be around for years and years and years), though it might make operational sense. |
