Platinum wedding band and SS yachtmaster here. Wasn't slightly at all concerned about them matching (both on left hand). The bezel does blend in nicely though even though I didn't plan on it. The next 3 watches I have my eye on will not blend in at all and I don't care. :)

my WG Cartier band matches every watch I own. If the time comes that it doesnt, I will order the exact ring in YG and a matching one for the wife.

Platinum band (18 years old and still looking good) Finally matched it with a platinum watch last year.

I don't have any RG or YG watches but if I did I might consider a ring to go with it.

Really? I guess if you have to ask then maybe you should just follow your gut. In my case my wedding band is on its second generation. My father had died a few years before I got married. It has both my parent's initials and wedding date as well as my wife's and my initials and date inscribed in side the band. I've never ever thought of it as having to match anything because it almost has a sacred quality to it. It's amazing how much sentiment a small gold ring can carry. This October will be our 29th anniversary.

I've got a platinum ring as well. I chose it with SS watches in mind!

No issues. I have a YG wedding band and my SS/platinum YM that I wear on my right wrist (I'm left handed). My husband had a YG wedding band but he lost weight over the past 20+ years, so he got a titanium band (which is much sturdier). I think titanium goes with everything.

But, I like the idea of a platinum band!

I can't say I have ever given this much thought.

I have a Platinum wedding band and wear a SS watch on the same hand/arm.

I haven't had the itch for a yellow gold watch yet. If I ever do, I think I would just wear it with the Platinum ring.

The ring I wear is the one I exchanged with my wife along with our vows so that's the one that will stay on my finger regardless of my watch.

Here is the Cobalt Chrome wedding ring I wound up going with. Love it so far. Pretty close match for the SS DJII

watch and wedding ring

I have a black ceramic ring just like both my brother in laws, and it goes with anything. Would not in my personal opinion have more than one wedding band. But I also wouldn't care whether it matches or not.😎

I don't wear a wedding ring when I am working and if I remember to wear one when we are out together my wife doesn't care what colour it is.

I lost my original band long ago. So I keep a drawer full of other bands of various metals. I'll usually match my watches if I'm not too lazy but quite honestly I could care less about a mismatch.

Thanks, I've been around but just too crazy busy at work to post much. Have a lull at the moment so I'm trying to catch up before I get swamped again.

A few good friends of mine have gun metal wedding rings. It's almost a charcoal grey. Works well with gold or silver since it's a dull colour and doesn't stand out. Problem solved!

I do think a shiny silver ring and a gold watch looks a bit tacky.

Good luck and congratulation!

Thanks Thomas - it has cured me for the moment at least.

Not really feeling the need to absolutely have any new additions.
