Selling up...
So, despite having sworn that my SD 16600 will be with me forever, after only a few days of the new SD, I realise that it simply isn't going to get any wrist time; they are very similar, with the new SDc being slightly superior in every way (just my opinion folks!).
Also not getting any future wrist time is my GMT2, my MB2 TWG, my Baume & Mercier Riviera, and my Christopher Ward Pilot. So, last night, I put them all up for sale!! Once all have been sold, I intend to spend the cash on a birth year Sub and an old Speedy. That will leave me with: 1. SDc (Daily wearer) 2. Sub 5513 (for classic understated occassions and attire) 3. Speedy (for nights out when things might go wrong!) 4. TAG Microtimer (for the memories) 5. G-Shock (for when the beating is too much for the SD!) It's taken me two years and I've been through a lot of watches, but I have finally realised that collecting is about building a collection rather than just amassing watches! I can't say that I won't buy any more watches, because clearly I will, but I can say that I'm confident the above list includes only watches that are keepers, and any new additions are going to have to be pretty spectacular (SS Daytona with ceramic bezel or Patek Nautilus if ever I can afford one). I guess everyone must go through this when they first get into watches? For the first time, feel lucky that I have small wrists...if I had big wrists the amount of watches I could choose from would be just too big!! It would be a nightmare!

Sounds like the SDC has put things into perspective for your collection.
I look forward to seeing the Sub and Speedy on your wrist as things progress. |

Yes, it makes sense, your thinking, I'm pretty certain I'd do the same if it were me.

I recently sold off a few. My collection feels better for it, even though I liked them all..

Very often a recent incoming solidifies how a collection should sort out

I feel like an addict when it comes to watches.
I'm never satisfied with what I have and I can't wait for my next fix... |
