I don't like it when.....Rolex takes my favorite reference and makes it entirely too big AND adds a cyclops to a reference that NEVER CAME WITH A CYCLOPS.....now...

ITS YOUR TURN!!!

Maybe it's just me but, since the OP didn't bother elaborating in the first place, I have no interest in knowing his reasons for not liking the new SD. There should be a rule against starting useless threads.

Member since 2008. Less than 400 posts. The "OP" is obviously a man of few words. He also seems to be the type to give his opinion without feeling the need to justify it. Oddly enough his thread is already on page two. He's on to something. Well played.

It seems that the OP may be a 116600 owner trying to convince himself not to like the new SD.

You have to allow freedom of speech, take that away and this place becomes boring and sterile.

I was in my local AD last week and he already had taken orders for 13 new SDs. The 43mm size and the cyclops many not be to my taste but I suspect Rolex are onto a winner here. It appears to be more of a true divers watch which means that we of the swimming pool fraternity will be eager to wear it without worrying if it will leak in the shower.

Regards

Mick

I love the previous discontinued 116600, SD4000. It has one of it's kind case. Remain true to sea dweller origin of 40mm without cyclops. It is non gimmick and non pretences without the red wordings "sea dweller". Y must the new sea dweller act like a submariner jumbo? The previous SD4000 will always remain as a classic in my heart.
