I would do. It. But if you're on the fence though don't do it. Buyers remorse is an awful thing

I personally don't like the numeral dial on the DJII.

i would go for dj2,,enjoying a break from sports watches as my daily hacker and the dj2 ticks all the boxes for me,,,,jay[ATTACH]Attachment 847557

I had a 6 digit Yachtmaster that I traded for a smooth bezel DJ2 with blue dial and Romans and received 2200 back. IMHO I got a great deal because I went from a relatively dated look to something more modern that wears larger
Don't part with more $$$

That's a heavy penalty for no papers. I'd keep the watch both because the YM is nicer and as soon as it's serviced by RSC, the penalty for no papers should be substantially reduced (if you want to then change things up).

It's such a lateral move at best. I like YM better but if you wanted to do it to have a b&p set and you're not into the YM so much anymore, I'd understand it. That said, a 2013 YM is worth 7k while a similar DJ is worth 6200. Those are approximate and on the retail side. Is the 7 years and papers worth 1500 to you? Personally, I don't see it.

There's NO WAY I would trade a Yacht-Master for a a DateJust II; keep the YM.

Ok guys... I've slept on it and as dadonn2 said is the B&P worth the extra... ive scoured the net and price wise they are pretty much even ... in saying that it's comparing my year vs. the dj year so theoretically the YM being older is worth more...
Now this trade wasn't based on a financial decision so the dollar value was really a factor... more of which one sings to me...
Ive got an old tt dj and a daydate so I liked the larger size(I've got 7.5" wrists) but for now I'm going to resist the trade and I'll consider buying one outright later... and I prefer the Jubille bracelet on a dj so that's the target
Thanks for all the opinions guys just needed some else's point of view to help me not make a impulse/emotional purchase lol!

Obviously go with whichever one speaks to you more. However since you're asking for opinions I would either go with the Datejust 41 or keep the YM

Between the two I would keep the YMI
