Tag Heuer Autavia
Just picked up the new Tag Heuer Autavia from my AD. This is the 2017 Basel release and I had been following the re-release of this model since last year. I looked at the leather strap version and the rice bracelet version and hands down the bracelet version was much better for me. The leather strap looks nice in photographs but was not up to my standards for a leather strap. The construction was no where near as nice as the straps from Panerai or Tudor. The watch is 42 mm and wears true to size. Not to large but right. I have seen reviews about the case thickness but I was wearing my Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue when I tried it on and it seemed to wear the same. I like the vintage look and will find a couple of straps to change up the looks as I go forward. I also got to handle the silver dial version of this watch but it did not work for me as well as the black dial.

Good looking chrono, congrats!
Wish there was some polished/ brushed areas for contrast, but that's a small complaint. dP

Wow that is very cool. Lots of character, and I doubt you'll run into many people with the same watch. Nicely done.

Fine looking Autavia. Looks vintage cool -especially with the rice bracelet. I didn't know they had two dials colors. Any pics of the panda?

Thanks for the kind words. I did not take a picture of the silver dial Autavia. I should have but was not thinking. If they still have it when I go back into the AD I will get a photograph and post it.

I think this will be a very popular Heuer. Look forward to seeing one in the flesh myself. CEO Bivas is making great strides bringing Tag back to the watch world and out the retail chains. This model attests to that. Wear in good health

I like it. If it was brushed I would love it. Congrats on it.
