Its not what you know, its who you know!

Looks what happens when you mention a certain members name from this forum to a particular AD in London while visiting them.

From asking tongue in cheek, what was the availability of a 5167A, and being informed about 2 months. To then receiving an email only hours later, that one was on its way from Geneva and would be here within the week.

Thanks Brian:thumbs:

Who incidentally was totally unaware, until I contacted him a few days ago.
I am looking forward very much to collecting it in a couple of weeks.

Did you meet the infamous Jamie? And I have to ask the obvious question: Will you be receiving any gifts?

Wow, I had something similar happen to me this week, this forum is a great place! Congrats, Tony, a hard one to find here. Are we like the Masons?

Tony: Where is your watch now? Are you going to pick it up by yourself? Maybe you can ask a gift from Jamie before you pick up the watch.

We want a pic of Jamie delivering you the watch (and any gifts). The legend of this guy is only superceded by Bigfoot and The Chupacabra

In all seriousness, this is what is great about TRF. Members helping out fellow Members. Well done you two.
You will love the 5167. The most comfortable watch I own. Congrats and wear it in good health!!

I agree with Brian as I have the one on the left and was given it by a U.K. AD as well. They are very nice! In the US we don't see many of these. Maybe Rhone distributes a fair amount of these to their ADs.

Yes, have the double phase de lune, and was given the service one when I bought a small strap for the 5726 at the Paris Salon.

Congrats on the 5167

Brian, I have no doubt that without your patronage of the store, this would not of happened in the manner that it did!
So my deepest thanks to you, I shall be collecting it later on this month:thumbs:
