I am looking at a Breguet Type XXI 3817 to add to my collection. Just want to get some opinions whether it is a good reference to purchase. I have a Rolex Explorer, Sub, Two tone GMT, Datejust, Cartier Tank and recently added a Panerai Chrono which I rotate all of them regularly. Just love the details of the Breguet and not a common piece to see in the wild. Thank you in advance for the input!

I have the 3810 in rose gold. It's a fascinating piece-the dial has a lot going on and it is beautifully put together. If you have the funds, go for it.

I’m a fan - Breguet is beyond classic and so under appreciated in my opinion. I’d pull the trigger - just buy it right.

I rather like the type XXs and think they are overlooked among pilots watches.

Thick, top heavy, and the clasp really dug in and hurt my wrist, it was hard for me to find a good comfortable fit. I did love the watch but ultimately had to move on. I would try it on before committing.

I spotted the 3810 and the 3817 at my AD this past weekend and really liked what I saw in the case. I will have to go back some day to further check them out. Research has indicated that thickness may be an issue as was already stated so trying them out before pulling the trigger is a definite way to go.

I was similarly set on getting a 3817. When I tried it on I was bummed that it was just too thick for me as I otherwise thought it was superb. So I'm looking for a Type XX eventually when the right one pops up.
