Think this guy likes his Rolex...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOCSX...eature=related

Seriously, that's the power of Rolex. What else could we stare at for 2 minutes and 3 seconds while it does practically nothing other than twirl around. Well maybe there's something else now that I think about it.

Wrong date magnification but the most striking thing that tells you that this watch is a fake is the bezel pearl. Take a careful look at the bezel pearl and you will see that the pearl sits lower from the bezel itself and it has a greyish colour.
The bezel is not thick enough and the crown guards are wrong.

Take a look at the comments too

Yes, I agree it was a pretty bad fake. A dead giveaway would be the shape of the crown guards. Notice how they "overlap" the bottom part of the crown in the video?

i am truly amazed along with Norm, who started this crazy thread, that you guys can spot a fake in a video! good work. my inability to do what you guys can do in a few seconds, always causes me to buy from an AD or my grey marketer who has been around for more than 25 yrs. and is 100% trustworthy.
best, dan

It's scary to think how some of the fake ones available out there are so close to resembling the real Rolex.

Thank you Jason and Velitsko. And Dan (unclesallie) you are so right. I have always bought my watches from AD's because I knew I didn't have the skills to recognize the good fakes but having a forum like TRF really opens up a whole new world. Just post a picture and get dozens of expert opinions. Anyway, thanks guys for not getting down on me and I'm glad JJ and Frostie hijacked the thread because they salvaged it!

Actually, I read all the comments on youtube, and I wish everyone wouldn't have pointed out all the obvious flaws. Why tell the counterfeiters what they are doing wrong?
