Predictions for 25th anniversary of Spring drive in 2024

Curious what predictions everyone has for next year being a big anniversary for the creation of Spring Drive technology. Do you think they are moving towards more watches in the Evolution 9 design language like power reserve in the back, etc. Personally, I'm interested in buying my first Grand Seiko but may wait to see what's in store for next year

It's not just the 25th anniversary of Spring Drive, it's also the 55th anniversary of the Seiko Quartz Astron, the 55th anniversary of the Grand Seiko VFA's ("Very Fine Adjusted"), and the 55th anniversary of the Seiko Astronomical Observatory Chronometer.

There will be new mechanical Grand Seiko VFA's, and Grand Seiko Spring Drive UFA's ("Ultra Fine Accuracy").

It's going to be one heck of a year, and definitely worth holding out for.

Oh interesting, didn't realize all the anniversaries. That's exciting. I'm also hoping for 1) micro adjust on the bracelet, and 2) maybe some more Spring Drive model variations in the 36-39mm range.

I’m still looking for my first GS. I like the Evolution 9 designs the best and have been eyeing one of the lake suwa dials. I also like dive watches so love the SLGA023. However, I wish it was bigger with more water resistance like the SLGA001. I hope next year they release another deep diver (600m for GS) with a beautiful dial.
