[PICS] - PAM 312 with new strap
So it only took me a couple of days to realize that the obsession for straps well preceded my PAM 312 coming in. One I fell in love with on the boards was the JV Nubuck Gold strap. It looked so beautiful and I had to have it. Granted apparently there is always a wait time for these according to everyone I talked to since they are always in demand but I guess I got lucky.
Called the Beverly Hills boutique and they said that they could order one but it would take a few months since they are on back order. They mentioned I could try calling the NY Boutique. So I called them on Monday and talked to rep #1. He said they don't have any in stock for the Tang buckle but do for the deployment. Also mentioned that they have the strap on order and should be there in a couple weeks. Thought about it for a few minutes and called back and talked to rep #2. I asked him if there was any way that I could put my name down to reserve one of them since they are hard to find and he said go ahead and email us with your info and what you want and we will try our best. 10 Minutes later Rep #3 emails me back and states that the strap just got delivered to their boutique and if I want it to call back and pay over the phone and they will ship it out. Needless to say I made the call, and they overnighted the strap to me for free. I have to say this strap is absolutely gorgeous and just adds another level to the 312. It is so soft and the perfect color. A plus is that the wife fell in love with the strap the moment she saw it. Lovely! Give it a year or so and the patina on that strap will look real nice.

Looks great!
I have a JV on deployant for my 111. Since we have had some rain, I took it off to keep it dry. Feel like putting it back on now! |

I am using the buckle that came with the 312 on the JV strap. It's a 24x22 strap just like the one that comes with the watch so it's a direct fit.

Yes, just tell them you are looking for the one for the screw in buckle and not the deployment.

looks great and unique!
not sure what other 312 owners think but i also like the thicker vintage straps to match the thickness of the case! i started going from OEM straps, then to aftermarket 4.0mm, 4.5mm, and 4.7mm straps! such a versatile watch!! |

Thanks! I am actually in the market for one of those thicker vintage straps as well to be more of a daily wear instead of the rubber strap.
