Options.
So I am on a list for a 5726a black strap. Was supposed to be in before end of year but got pushed back. Now he got in a 5712g and offered it to me. Thinking it’s a no brainer to go with it unless I’m missing something ?
Thoughts? Thanks James |

They are a similar price so I assume you picked the 5726A over the 5712G when you placed your order? |

Actually the 5712 wasn’t even obtainable originally. So never even thought of it.

I like the 5712G better, mainly because I prefer not to have an annual calendar complication on a sports watch. It looks substantially thinner too, if that's important to you.

the 5712 is a lot thinner too. Not sure what you prefer. I also like the 240 movement better personally. Good luck.

I agree and I really would only want a simple date display on a sports watch. Plus, the outboard correctors really lessen the WR. So what's the point.

Factors to consider:
-One is WG and the other is SS. -5726A might get discontinued soon. You should get the 5712G while you can because you don't know if a 5726A will ever be offered to you before the rumored discontinuation. |

I would wait for the 5726a, if your AD says that you are on the list, and he they pushed you back a bit, just wait and trust the AD.
At the end, do not go for the one you can live with, go for the one you can't live without ! |

Not a big fan of Nautilus on strap but even less so of the annual calendars - I'd take the 5712G...

I would grab the 5712g, and this is coming from someone who owns the 5726A on strap.
While I really like the latter watch, the poor day/month visibility gets a bit old. I've also come to the conclusion that an AC function on a sports watch doesn't really fit. Others may disagree and that's fine. The finishing on the 5726A is fantastic, but if you're going to get a nautilus on strap, get a PM piece. The 5712g is incredible. |

5712g is my choice. But if it was the new steel 5726 blue on bracelet that would have been my choice

Thanks for the insight. This will be my first Patek. I told him I’d take it. Hoping to pick up maybe this weekend.
Thanks for the help James |

I would most definitely go for the 5712G for two reasons, the dial layout and also the difference in thickness of the case
