Rolex Buying Black Book

Does a rolex 'black book' exist for consumers wanting to purchase used and 'new' rolex at competitive rates ?

There are many ways to do research and there are watch price history sites. However I personally have learned that the market fluctuates beyond what I initially expected and it is best to do your own current research. The trend lately is mostly down, so any price you see printed in a book will be outdated at a disadvantage to you as a buyer.

Idk about a black book but in Japan there are several magazines that come out multiple times a year that shows trends in Rolex model prices and what the future prices are projected to be. The magazines are mostly in Japanese too.

The buy/sell spread is very dependent on factors like complete set, condition, service history, and demand fluctuations.
There's no central reporting structure for pre-owned sales - the best yardsticks I've seen are eBay completed listings.
Even on TRF the final sale price is unknown when the deal is done...
