Do other Nautilus models give you a good idea of 5711?
I'm curious to know if 5711/1a owners or those familiar with the piece think that other Nautilus models give someone a decent idea about how the 5711 feels/wears.
The context here is I am considering purchasing a 5711. As you're all aware though, you won't find any in an AD display. However I am curious to know how it'd look on my wrist, and how it'd look in the metal, specifically the dial. I've only tried on the 5711/1r and I love it, and I am very familiar with the AP 15202. But since I am considering selling a piece to fund the purchase, before selling anything, I'd like to know *for sure* that I want the 5711. |

I was in a similar position and bought unseen. Wears great as it's low profile and flat so sits well on the wrist...(preparing to get flamed)....but I wasn't as enamoured about the blue...it was nice but I didn't get the euphoria...I swapped out for the white ....and to coin a phrase "forget the hype, get the white"!

Try the 5712, it has same dimensions but it is also not easy to find.
My advice; buy the 5711 no matter what, if you don't like it, sell it on same price or with little profit and buy back the watch you sold. 99% you won't sell it as you will most likely love it |

I agree with Karl that the blue dial of the 5711/1A is not as impressive as many online photos. However the 5711/1P blue dial is quite nice
As Helmi suggested, trying on a 5712/1A is a good idea, although it may be hard to find one to try on. The blue dial on the 5712/1A is nicer than that on the 5711/1A though. |

The 5711 in steel does feel lighter than it's gold counterpart

None of us see it first, do it, you won't regret it
I've had both, blue coveted for a reason. |

The 5711 1a an amazing watch. The blue varies with the light. Sometimes bright sometimes gray. It's not an over the top blue like the p, but also no unappealing tombstone and diamonds which I prefer not to have.
The white is almost a different watch altogether and then it boils down to personal preference. both blue and white are really great pieces. Good luck on your decision. As for other Nautilus' giving a feel for the 5711 , the only close comparison would be the 5712 but with any Nautilus it's tough finding any to try on. |

The more pictures I see of the white, the more it appeals to me and not just because the blue is hard to get. I feel like it would make a great trio with the AP 15202 and 5167.

Are not the other Nautiluses except the 5712 larger and a lot thicker. Probably not a good indication of the 5711 fit.

It's one of those watches that looks good on all kinds of people. Whether your wrist is big, small, or in-between it will look great.

5712 is a good start to check the feel

Feels like the 5712. I owned a 5726 and that one is not even close. It feels completely different that the 15202. I sold my 5711 because my 15202 was far superior. Just personal taste.
