Patek 5227R

today i finally part-exchanged my panerai PAM00421 for a calatrava 5227R. this is actually the closest i want to get to a dress watch. the nice thing is that the 5227 can be dressed up or down (usually i go for the latter:::))). the ivory lacquer dial and the breguet hands are really very very nice, as is the case back, that can be opened to show great reflections. i will retire my nautilus for a while and see how it goes with the 5227R:::)))

thanks guys. the watch is too expensive for what it is compared to the complications watches but in the end i got an ok deal for the exchange. and it is kind of refreshing to wear a simple watch again:::)))) btw, the finishing is amazing!!!!

can owner's please check on their 5227s whether the date is as much squeezed to the left as on mine? if you check very carefully, the '1' in the date window is much more aligned to the left than the '7' is to the right. is this something you guys would have checked by patek?

I think that is normal I looked at my 5711 which has the same movement and the date is the same way in the window. Check when it's just one number, it should be in the middle.

I love this watch.
It really does look lovely. Would rather this over the 5711 blue... (Made the wrong call but the Calatrava was £6k more. I'm talking list).

Date left justified is very common. Also like the little make-up mirror on the back.
