Rolex Service in Los Angeles Area?

I have a Rolex Daytona that for some reason after I took it off last week no longer wants to wind up??

The dial makes the little clicky noise but the thing doesn't run

Any suggestions for a repair place?

Thanks

Rikk, one of the guys that have serviced more Rolexes than anybody the right way is Armen in Montrose. If you are in LA it is worth a visiit. He is properly trained and serviced like Rolex Center with access to parts. Believe me you wantt to to contact him especially for Daytona.
His phone number is 818 319-8045. Montrose Watch Company.

A great watchmaker named Ernesto at 'Jewels by Ten Brink' in West LA.

I actually ended up using Armen in Montrose. After calling several of the places and speaking with them as well as reading the reviews I chose Armen.

Real friendly, real knowledgeable, a lot of experience with Rolex watches and such.

Sent Armen the watch and he followed up with a phone call once he received the watch. Armen gave me a 4-6 week lead time and said he would totally disassemble the watch and take photos.

Being that the watch did not work, I was told it was most likely the main spring by everyone, Armen said the spring replacement was a normal the service so it was all good my mind.

Turns out the spring as well as the hub the spring sits in had a few broken teeth on it which meant it needed to be replaced also.

As part of Armen’s service he polished the watch and band. He sands the bezel backside on a lathe as well as the band.

The paint in the chronograph dial was coming off from the day I got the watch and after the watch was cleaned and polished the rest of the paint on the numbers is gone so at least it looks cleaner.

I went to pick the watch up as I had to go to Pasadena yesterday and Armen gave me a full tour of his workshop.

Armen has a fully sealed workshop with hepa filters and air gap doors separating one area from another.

Armen has a full array of technical machines to test the watches as well
as cleaning machines. He can test the watches in a vacuum chamber and a pressure chamber to certify the watches for specific depths.

Armed has a lot of specific tools, machines and jigs for the watch repair.

Armen showed me photos of a Daytona that was from Paul Newman, that he had just serviced last week.

Armen has a safe full of watches that are sent in to him for repair from around the country.

So if anyone is looking for a service center for your watches, Rolex, IWC, Breitling and others, he’s certified for all the brands and goes to the watch training school twice a year. He’s actually featured in their advertising articles as well as their web site.
