Please help me with this SS Zenith Daytona
Hi experts... I am looking to buy this Zenith Daytona. Can you tell me if this is authentic? The seller is willing to meet at watch maker of my choice to examine, so I think it should be good. The watch has a lot of scratches. Movement has not been serviced in over 5 years. Any suggestion in value would be great!!

I can definatly tell you that the watch is a genuine zenith Daytona. The only real downside is that it has not been serviced in over 5 years. However, if the price is right I say go for it.

Looks genuine! I wouldn't worry about it not being serviced in five years which is very common. Most aren't serviced every five years and don't find their way to a watchmaker until they stop running properly. Still, you could factor in a service when negotiating the price. As far as price, are you just purchasing just the watch, or does it come with the original boxes, booklets, warranty paper etc.?

I wouldn't worry about the scratches or servicing if it is running strong. The one thing I looked to avoid in purchasing the same watch was a ground down bezel from too much polishing. It's ugly and IMO would have to be replaced soon - so that's something to figure into the price if so.

Thanks for all the expert advice. I will go take a look at this watch in person and then decide. The watch does come with box and paper, but not sure if its complete though. Can anyone suggest a rough value to make an offer? thanks.

Offer $7500. Without knowing more, you'll have to make that decision. A nice, complete Zenith Daytona can sell for anywhere from $9,000 to $11,000.
