Should I Change My 18238 Dial

My 1989 18238 has a champagne tapestry dial and I can’t decide if I should change it to this dial.

What do you think good or bad idea ?

It’s going to cost me 10k to change

No, the purpose of the link is the photo of the Rolex diall. I could care less about your email. I would like your opinion on my post.

I tried to post a pic and it was too large then I tried two different links to embed the image none worked. I asked the mod to delete this post.

No, can’t think of a dial that is interesting enough to pay 10K

Hard pass. Keep the classic champagne dial even if there was no difference in price.

Here is the photo that finally worked. I wanted to change to a black dial so I could see the day and date better and the diamonds are a nice touch but I wanted your option should I change for 10k ?

The style dial you posted is called a diamond string dial.
I like diamond dials on Day-Dates and I would not spend 10k on this style of a dial.
Authentic Rolex string dials can be found between 1/4 to 1/2 of that price on eBay and Chrono24 and such.
Looks like you’re in LA so you can look up First Class Dials in downtown LA.
They’re great if you are a serious buyer.
I’ve seen them with a black diamond 36mm dial recently and I see them with other really nice diamond dials all the time.
You can give them a call or look them up on C24 or eBay.
Or you could sell your watch and buy one with a dial you really want.
Your business but 10k is a whole lot for that particular dial.
