IWC perpetual

Hello folks... This has been on my list for a while. Feel like I should have one perpetual in the collection

https://www.iwc.com/us/en/watch-coll...-calendar.html

What do folks feel about this? If you would own one perpetual.. Would this be it in terms of execution, complication, provenance etc? I like wearing watches on the larger side... 44 and up.

Thank you in advance

I’ve had the 42mm version for almost two years now. It’s a fantastic piece that gets tons of wrist time. It’s about the largest size I can manage but if you prefer bigger than the 44 should do the trick!

it's a special collaboration with Dubail Jewelry in Paris. #40/50. All the rest sold in Europe. Special request surprise by the boutique for me as the director knows my taste. Very cool dial color, hard to capture in camera. I was told there is only one in US.

In general, the inhouse perpetual movement of IWC has been tried and tested for years. The most recent improvement is the double barrel implementation. Also, is there any 7 day supply perpetual in the market besides IWC perpetual. I am not sure. The finish is at the level of its price commanded.

Great piece that has quicky become my favorite especially this piece is stainless steel!20220413_175032.jpg

I pulled the trigger finally. Have this incoming in platinum.

These never command the release or the brand presence like an AP, Patek or Rolex although I think the movement on this perpetual is up there if not better.

Why no love for this in the broader world?

It's here! Have not set the time yet or taken off the plastic wrap. The strap is a bit too long so am waiting on a shorter strap from IWC currently.

Hot damn, that’s a piece. There’s only one perpetual calendar I’d own and it’s an IWC Portugieser.

I like this in rose gold, but it would either be this or a JLC. Both amazing horology and value. Have always had this on my list as well but it's so hard managing the collection
btw congrats on the platinum ! It's beautiful, and huge

Nice, really nice! A perp is definitely on my list at some point.

For those looking for a more hard wearing PC, and water resistant to 100M I definitely recommend taking a look at the JLC Polaris Perpetual Calendar. Different take than the IWC, but in the same league.
