I think this guy deserves some slack.

That truck isn't going to fit into one spot.

I think these are lesser evils compared to those trucks which travel in the fastest lane at 40-50mph...

In Arkansas it's a violation to go slow in the hammer lane. Signs say Slower Traffic Move Right, but there's no shortage of knotheads that won't give way.

This is in our local news this morning. Sadly, I don’t think it would the first time this driver had parked like this.

Bought the warden a "new" (2015 coming off a lease) Acadia last week. Within 3 days it already had a nice scratch on the front bumper. Some moron hit it in a parking lot with a shopping cart I'm sure. Have you ever seen someone push a cart about 60 feet in a parking lot hoping it makes it to the little corral before it hits something? The lazy slobs think it's a game. As for taking up two spaces in a relatively empty lot, there's nothing saying that it wouldn't be filled up an hour after the car is parked. While I would NEVER damage someone elses property intentionally, the parking lines are there for a reason. If you're afraid to take your prize out in public, maybe you should wrap it in bubble wrap and keep it home.

The simple fact is, some people just don't respect other peoples property. Or, they treat their property poorly, and think it's ok to treat others the same.

On Friday I went to the local tool shop to pick up a dremmel.

The company vehicle was out on site so I drove down in my AMG.

I parked well away from the crowd and had three empty spaces on each side if my car in an empty area.

When I got back ten minutes later there was a 4 wheel drive parked right next to my car with kids and a passengers climbing out - at least it looked like they were being careful but seriously this happens all the bloody time.

Taking up two spots always attracts negative attention and unfortunately there are people out there that will try to damage or mess with your car in some way. The best option is to find a spot next to a curb and hug that curb.

That's what I was saying.

That dually wouldn't fit in a single parking place and if it did, a careless driver would plow into the rear fender while trying to park, not realizing the width of the rear axle.

Gotta get his car keyed. Probably more risky than someone parking by you.

So someone parked next to you and was being careful and respectful around your property? The nerve on them!

Doesn't bother me at all. There are plenty of open spaces for others to park in.

I would say this is the case for sure.
Here in the Bangkok the big shopping malls have Supercar parking sections which have extra wide parking spaces for this very reason. Your car has to be on a special list or you can't park in it.
