Knives out

Has anyone seen it? We went last weekend, pretty good murder mystery. Daniel Craig, Don Johnson, Christopher Plummer and Jamie Lee Curtis. All played well but Craig surprised me the most with his character, I won’t ruin it for you but for those who have seen it I’m sure you know what I’m “talking” about.
I’d give it 4 1/2 out of five.

Was not aware it was out. Will wait and see it at home. Looks like an all-star cast that can't miss.

Thanks for pointing this out, Tim. It sound like a really good film! The cast alone would lead me to believe this.

Somebody call a Mod. Subject has a banned object in it.

Seriously, we have been looking for a good movie to watch and I will suggest this. Thanks.

Bwaaahaha, I knew someone would post this, I’m happy it was you John!
It was either that or Mr Rogers, we’ll probably watch that one on demand.

Excellent film, really enjoyed it. The plot and script were great, as was the acting. Kind of felt like a play; it could easily be adapted for stage. And, it was a pleasure to watch a film which does not rely on special effects!

Brilliant film! So refreshing to see a movie almost entirely driven by dialogue that’s so entertaining.

Saw it a week or two ago.

Fairly forgettable, but entertaining enough.

Howdy,

I'm truly glad you enjoyed the movie. Personally, I am boycotting anything Rian Johnson does in this lifetime and the next due to his handling of the Last Jedi and his treatment of Luke Skywalker.

And no, I'm not some alt-right misogynist who hates women and diversity. Far from it in fact. Unfortunately, his divisive take on Star Wars was too much for this hardcore fan to ever forgive.

That said, the trailers for Knives Out look fun and the actors in it are immensely talented and all look great.

Take care,

Ruddiger

I thought it was good but not great. Hard to explain my thoughts without discussing the actual movie. I think I over hyped it to myself.

I’m guessing he’s part of the reason this movie also didn’t live up to expectations.

Yes saw this two weekends ago. Best movie I have seen in a long time. Nothing too serious, just a highly entertaining movie overall. A lot of fun.

On the subject of Mister Craig, I suggest “Layer Cake” for a rainy/snowy weekend. To me it feels like the missing link that got him cast as 007...
