I think the BLNR and Sub are different enough that I would say keep the Sub.
A brushed bracelet watch is nice to have in the rotation. It’s not a difficult watch to replace but will likely be a little more expensive next year to replace if you change your mind. |

If you’re looking to move one of those 3 I’d sell the BLNR or trade for either a 116710blnr (oyster with PCL) or a 126710blro.
The sub is the best of those 3 imo and I’d venture to guess you will miss the brushed oyster bracelet and glide lock. |

So I'm running into a similar situation. I have a sky dweller, Sub 114060 and I just got the call today from my AD for the blnr. I fell like the GMT and the sub is too similar and I want to get rid of the sub but something tells me not to sell it.

I think I have suggested you to keep all 3. Great watches. I have exact 2 of yours blue smooth jubilee DJ41 anc 114060. And planning to get BLNR soon

If you're asking if you should keep a watch, then you have some feelings that make you not want to part with the piece, for whatever the reason may be, and that is up to you to sort out. For me, I think the collection should be in constant turn over, unless you feel I just like this piece too much to part with.

I only buy watches to keep. I’m not a flipper, if it isn’t special to me in some way, then I don’t even buy it to begin with. I don’t buy hype and popularity, because that fades and then your left with “stuff “ you don’t want.
Flip it if you don’t want it. |

Traded mine for an LVc which I love. Still miss my Subc, but having the LVc makes me smile every time I glance down. May actually buy another Subc one day, but really want a Smurf.

Out of the three watches, it’s my favourite, so I wouldn’t sell. Particularly if you still like and wear it. You’ll only end up buying it again in the future ...

Sell it. Easy business.
If you decide later that you want to sell it, the process may be harder (and riskier). |

If you need the money or you’ve lost that special feeling for the Icon, sell it. But it will double in value over the next ten years and its design will never become stale. This cannot be said about any other model and means you shouldn’t sell it.

Sell it if you don't wear it.

If I was not sure, and it appears that you are not, I would keep the watch. You are not getting enough money to move you, in my opinion, and the watch is a classic. Give it some wrist time. It also gives you a watch in the future that is very popular to put toward a watch that you do feel strong about acquiring. If you flipped the story and were telling us that you were thinking about buying a watch and did not have the passion most would say don't buy it. Same here.

Why not? Are you thinking there’s too much overlap with the BLNR? I’d probably worry about giving up the oyster bracelet and the utility of the sub that you can take anywhere and do anything with. That’s why I’ll never part with mine. It would be my 1 keeper if I were to sell all the rest |
