Nice YMII. Never got the whole edc knife thing. I get the swiss army knife concept, but carrying a regular fold out knife makes no sense. Especially in urban areas.

It’s one of those things that you never think you need until you start carrying one, then you find uses for it constantly.

Wow, stunning! I was searching trying to find something else, and came across this. What a beautiful set, in particular the knife really pops out.

You just need to add a "piece" to your EDC. Maybe some grips.

Ain't that the truth. Better to have and not need, than to need, and not have.

Is Montblanc considered the Rolex equivalent in the pen world? They're beautiful. But I see alot more of Montblanc than say Sailor, Waterman, ST Dupont, etc.

I grew up in the yuppie 80's where having a Rolex, BMW, and Montblanc were the holy trinity.

Growing up in an urban area every kid, boy or girl would have had a pocket knife or fixed blade with them at all times. They were used in class to sharpen pencils, carve initials in the desks; at recess to whittle or carve or play mumbley-peg. Once you were old enough to join Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts the pocket knife was replaced by a fixed blade, often a Case like the top one in the picture below.

You wore it proudly in a sheath on your belt if a boy. Not sure where the girls kept theirs and certainly didn't have the nerve to ask.

IBTL; knife threads don't end well here. Usually deleted (as in against the rules).

That is a really stunning JFK piece. Congrats. I have the regular special edition JFK in Burgundy but yours is another level.
