I like the older Navitimer on leather strap. The current ones are too big for my wrist. I'm not a fan of the super polished bracelets though, grabs too much attention.

I agree. Classic Navi with leather strap is the way to go

Nice to see some of the Breitling brothers coming together in this thread. Sometimes it feels like if it's not PP or a Rolex, it's not respected here. I know many of the true WIS types don't feel that way, but there seems to be a growing crowd of 'look at how expensive my wristwatch is' types here.

Rock your Breitlingswith pride my friends!

Definitely! I love my Breitlings as much as my Rolex or Omega watches.

I just picked up a new Avenger II GMT. Love it!

I might do a review of it if I get some requests.

Please do. I was looking for another GMT recently and kept coming back to Breitling as they have several great looking models. In the end I bought a PAM 422 that has a jump hour hand instead.

I know what you're saying mate, but it's quite funny to read that when most people I know, who aren't WIS, think many Breitlings, esp the polished chronos, look really expensive and far more so than PPs and even many Rolexes.

I started with breitling as far as high end watches go. In fact, I only recently joined this forum (this is my first post) to start doing research since I am considering a vintage Rolex Datejust in the future to add a small simple watch to my collection. I currently have a Breitling Transocean Chronograph Unitime (pictured below), a Omega Speedmaster Co-Axial Racing, a casio Pathfinder (issued by my USAF Squadron), and an old Citizen Eco-drive my wife gave me in college.

I absolutely adore my Breitling, here it is on my three strap/bracelet options

Following the seller reneging and after doing a bit more research, I've purchased a more expensive replacement with full kit. Considering that these are highly counterfeited having a full kit makes the watch much more valuable.

Nice! Love the concentric circles on that dial.

Breitling does make a great watch and I have had nothing but great service out of them. I was at the National Air Races in Reno this year, Breitling is a big sponsor. Went into the Breitling tent wearing my old navitimer. A very nice young lady walked up complimented my watch and handed me a free cap to wear in the sun. The tent was full of very knowledgeable sales people and technicians. They had a great display set up with a watch maker demonstrating one of their new calibres.

I have worn the crap out of my Navitimer and it just keeps on ticking!

This watch had a uncanny allure for me; I don't know what it is but it is a great looking watch for certain.

My first Breitling...

and loving it.

Should have started wearing one a long time ago. The Unitime on a mesh bracelet is great!

I love my areospace...but in the toronto area not many places service them! la Swiss in the toronto area closed down and there goes service! lol. My areo battery needs replacing...hate driving around and asking all these high end watch stores if they change breitling batteries..they all turn away like it was rocket science...so I wear one of my Panerai's instead now.

That's really a great piece, one that I haven't owned yet but would love to add a blue dial Steelfish sometime in the near future. Wear yours in the best health!

Thanks, Matt; I'm enjoying it a lot. The Superocean Steelfish really called to me. It feels great on the wrist as well.

He's a Rolex Fan-boy. Anything with the crown on it, he bashes. Look at his post history. Sad really, to me that makes me think he's in it purely for the image of luxury - so people know he's made it. I personally dropped Rolex because the brand is so recognizable and people who can't afford one tend to judge those that wear them. I work in the environmental remediation field and do work primarily for the Federal, state, and local governments and tribes. I can wear any of my watches into a meeting without feeling that they are going to notice it, well maybe except the AP - it glimmers.

Congrats again on the new acquisition and ignore the noise. There are always haters out there and it's a reflection on them, not you.

Nice watch and thanks! It's even on todays date.

I wasn't feeling bad about my purchase but did think that calling the brand mediocre was kind of short sighted, pot calling the kettle black, pointing one finger and having three pointing back, etc., etc...
