I've been on lists since day one but turned out the ADs whose lists I was in ended up not running a list. Frustrated as I bought from them in the past. Now I am on some others but probably not near the top

So reality is I probably need to pay up

My AD said they had no SS Sport models and did not know when any would arrive.

My AD said they don't know when they will get a Daytona but do expect they will arrive. Am number one their list so Just waiting like everyone else!

Local AD has said the same thing, “We don’t know what we’ll get until just before it arrives”.

So incoming threads here are the only measure - plus the BNIB FS listings.

Asked my AD today and reply is NO.
I put 20% deposit to lock the MSRP and he promised me 1 year wait, a few other guys are ahead of me on the wait list.
I wont really trust him and expect 1 year. But hopefully I will get it some time 2019.

In Vancouver, the ADs are pretty up front about the way they sell SS Daytona’s. Spend at least $40,000 to $50,000 on other watches and they will sell you the Daytona. They have them locked in a safe in the back room, and they only bring it out if you’ve met the minimum spending requirements.

This might be the case sometimes but most likely and often they simply have no stock left. My AD has sold me seven Rolexes and inc. three non-C Daytonas and believe me when I tell you that he has no sports models in stock..and has not had any for a good while.

Shreve Co. in San Francisco stopped receiving ANY sport models in September of 2017. Within 1 day of release of the Daytona C at Basel World, they had a 2 year worth of waitlist. I'm unsure if I will get one at the AD before the release a new model! The Grey market value of the watch is unfortunately market rate because you can't even get one at 12k price range at the AD :(

Very true at my AD. Spend enough money, get whatever watch you want, if not immediately, very very quickly. Any sport Rolex.
