Omega Tin Tin

Just read an interesting piece about the development of the Speedmaster 'Tin Tin'. Curiosity drew me to our favourite auction site, and, lo and behold there's one for sale.

Thought somebody here might be a mad collector that's been looking for one for years!

I have absolutely no connection with this watch, or its sale.

I may have read the same article and also searched the same auction site and found the same watch you saw.

But there is 5 or 6 for sale on Chrono24 at more reasonable prices.

I was offered a NIB a few years ago at about £4k, but it wasn’t for me, as I already have a Moon to Mars Speedy.

I thought it looked expensive!

Not my kind of watch, interesting back story though.

Man that is a regret of mine. Back years ago I loved that watch and an AD was liquidating Omega and sold one cheap. I didn't buy because I had spent enough on watches and we were buying a new house etc, I regret it. Lovely watch! Don't let it go. They are also appreciating in value.

Thanks, it’s a great watch, I’m loving wearing it on a black nato.

When Joma last held tin-tin stock, they were priced at something like $2,800 hundreds of dollars under the standard Moonwatch. Didn't sell well. Now, it's "hot". Wild world.

Paid $2500 for one few years back. It was a no brainer. In that it would cost me a lotta more in the future.
