The tribute to 6263 albino project

Has anyone seen the latest Daytona from Artisans de Geneve? At quick glance, I thought it was an Omega. After looking a bit more, I really love what they did with this one. The silver sunburst dial, black thinned-out bakelite bezel, shaved crown guards, smaller crown and the flame blue hands just give it the perfect touch. Very impressive and classy.

I've always found the designers over at ADG to be excellent. It seems they do real quality work. That said, I'd never spend the money on one of their watches. I'd almost prefer the create their own brand that pays homage vs fully customizing and modifying existing watches. It just seems a little weird to me, especially at the price point.

In isolation I think that really is a beautiful watch.

However, despite understanding that it is paying homage to a vintage Rolex, I can’t get past the fact that it looks like a hybrid watch. A Romega, if you will.

I share this sentiment as well.
