Got this titanium beauty today from the Miami boutique. Super happy with it. It’s my first AP, definitely not my last!

Nice!

Curious - are they still charging full retail for these at boutique? Asking bc they are going for under retail on grey.

I paid full retail due to 1) I wanted a new unworn one, 2) I wanted this exact model and could not find it new for under retail, 3) I was fortunate enough to have been allocated it by the boutique, something that still seems quite difficult to do. All in all super happy and looking forward to building the relationship with the boutique since I am after other pieces as well.

Ah ok. Great piece. I really like the black stainless one and would love to get it eventually. One currently on moda for 32k that is really tempting.

Fantastic watch OP, make you 100% right for buying from AP rather than grey. Builds that relationship, piece of mind, and the whole experience. Personally I would not go grey, peace of mind is worth more than saving a bit. Enjoy and wear in good health

I’m genuinely curious, what peace of mind are you referring to…fake pieces, or other reasons?
Thanks.

Congratulations, OP!
This piece is tops, and if I didn’t have the 44mm version then I would get this better. Enjoy in good health.

looks great congrats. shocked that you are indeed right that it's not really trading significantly under retail.

? It is going for under retail. Respect OPs decision to go with the boutique to build the relationship. However those on here acting like it’s a crap shoot buying from Grey’s are way off the mark. Plenty of trusted greys you can buy from with complete piece of mind.

Congrats and a great piece!

Don't worry about retail vs non retail. You got it from the source, it looks great and it's a great start to continue the collection,

Yes my post was not at all knocking going retail. OP made the right move and is going to build his relationship with AP. my question was out of genuine curiosity as I see how these new 43s are going for significantly under retail on grey. I’d ask the same question if it was a good CODE too.

Enjoy the new piece. Looks great on you!

Thanks guys - I’m confident I made the right decision for me and my goal of building the relationship directly with the AP boutique.

I hope everyone that gets to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow has a wonderful holiday - just the fact that we can enjoy these wonderful time pieces is something I think we can all be grateful for.

Thanks.
Buying grey does nothing for me. Yes trusted sellers etc, but even that can go wrong I would prefer to pay MRRP and know my watch is 100% authentic, not stolen, has franken parts etc.

Congrats on a great piece. I think you made the right decision by going boutique. Personally, I like to be the 1st owner of any timepiece. It was possible back in the day when the grey would have the watch registered in your name by the AD it was being sourced from. Not a reality anymore. I gave up the grey route and the discounts years ago when AP started getting rid of AD'S. Knowing that AP was going to be a mainstay in my collecting, I switched to a boutique. It has paid off for me in building out my AP collection. Good luck in your journey!

And thanks @mickyd329 seems like we both frequent this and FChat forums. I’m relatively new to this one, but I suspect there’s quite a bit of overlap between the two forums. Cheers!
