Panerai suggestion

I came down on these 4 watches (00088,00241, 00104, and 00250) at my AD. I need some opinions since this is my first panerai. I was wondering if these watches have inside movement also. Thanks in advance.

ohhhhhhhhh...a 104 or 88..........tough choice......I already have a 104...and have been "jonsin" for a 88!!! I'd go with the 88....always can find a 104 later!

Whichever you'll choose, you'll want the other one, too! I have the 104 - classy watch, has a bit of everything.

I initially just bought my 88 because I could but it has now become a favorite. The 104 is nice but not unique IMHO.

Peter,
I'm no Panny expert, but if memory serves, none of these have "in-house" or variants of the base p.2002 movement, if that's what you mean by "inside movement."

I'd say the 88. They seem to be harder to come by and are unique IMO.
Good luck on your choice and get ready, they are addicting.
Let us know what you get and don't forget the pics!

I would choose the 104 because it's got such a clean look and looks fantastic on the wrist!
I've been reading posts for about 2 months now and am soooo close to getting my first Panerai !!!!
I've tried the 233 and 104 and want both but am trying to persuade Mrs!!

I'd take a 233 in a heartbeat over the 104.

I had a 104, it lasted 6 weeks before I traded it back in for a 270.

The 270 is not available from my AD for a long time but the 233 is there right now!
It's just the wife that needs convincing. I might just do it anyway!!

if you have the funds, i strongly suggest you take the 233. the pam website just had a discussion where the 233 is among the favorite if they were only to have one pam.

Thanks for that. I think I'm just delaying the inevitable! 233 for me. Will sleep on it tonight and then strike early doors tomorrow! Hope it wasn't sold today!! That would be a major blow. I'll post tomorrow.........

it will be the better choice. soon after getting the 104, you'll want the 233 anyway. might as well start w/ the 233 and be done with it.

I seem to be user 'tugboy' when on the work computer and 'teago' when I'm at home. Help! Anyone know how to sort this? I'd like to be 'teago' from both computers.

wouldn't you just be able to log out from your office computer and re-login as teago? That computer must have memorized your tugboy login, but if you log out, it should clear it.

dont worry about that, go get the 233.... that is great! that would be my second favorite pam if I could only have 1. 270 is great too but you can always get one later......now stop wasting time and post some pics of the awesome 233...any discounts?
