can anyone tell me why they refer to pam 183 black seal as a very rare model

Sorry, but a 183 isn't a rare model...

I'm guessing an AD told you that to get you to buy...

Panerai production 183 only 1500 this year (K series). That's why maybe your AD said 183 is rare item.
