Strap Fever
So i've had my 005 for less than 24 hours and I already have strap fever. I was using the original tan calf skin strap yesterday and switched over to the rubber strap today. I love how easy it is to switch between straps. Anyway, I need more straps!
Where do you guys shop for new straps??? I have been browsing StrapCulture and like some of their stuff. Definately diggin' the "Legend" series with the Skull on the buckle. But other than them, where can I find good, reasonably priced straps? Do any of you have experience with deployment clasps?

Wow man those views are great, the beach and the country
Oh and your watch is pretty nice too So straps, where does one begin. Well the world is your oyster. What are you thinking of in terms of leather, croc, horse hide etc, colours, stitching etc. maybe then I might be able to point you in a better direction. There is also this link which will point you to many suppliers: paneristi.com/straps/index.html

I found it even more cool that those two locations were only a 20 min drive from each other!
Thanks for the link. I know I need a black Croc but I was also looking for a brownish/greenish leather strap (or earthy colors in general). Also, I am trying to figure out the whole tongue versus deployment straps debacle. Am I correct in the understanding that the OEM deployment clasp will not work with my current straps (that use a conventional tongue)? Thanks for your help!

I've also had a couple from www.strap-works.com but not got any photos of them yet. Dan |

There are a lot of aftermarket straps to choose from nowadays. If you find some lower priced ones with good quality, look up on paneristi for DON.
Regarding tang vs deployment, deployment straps only have paddings at the area above the holes on the long end so that the strap can go through the loop. A regular tang strap has padding throughout and I don't think you can use it with a deployment buckle. However, if you have straps for deployment buckle, u can use them on a tang buckle. Hope this helps. |
