If you flip, then do it with a BANG!!
The watch A.D.D. kicked in again and I have reshuffled the collection. I had a deal for a 190 for my YM that fell through because I wouldn't budge on $250 from the other guy, oh well, there will be others I am sure of that.
The other two watches were not as lucky. I traded my 88 for a 162. The 162 was the first 44mm chrono made by Panerai and was only made for one year. It has become very sought after and I lucked into this deal. I will replace the 88 eventually, but that one is a regular production model and this one is already above the list on resell. Besides, the model that really attracted me to Panerai was Jason Stratham's chrono in the Transporter. (Even if his beeped and that is not real) The 24Submersible was also moved to fill a void that was itching me. I missed a BASE model with nothing but the two hands and the numbers on the dial. Something that is the essence of Panerai to me. I also have never had a Radiomir in my collection. Not to mention it is a manual wind which I really missed. So I traded a 3 year old watch for one that was bought new in December and made out on that deal. I am really stoked about these two, one everday wearer in the 162 and a dress type watch in the Rad. Was a really cool day for me. If you haven't figured it out by now, I am all about staying happy in the moment, and I am. Some pics....

Very nice pictures Daren but out of the Pam range must admit the Chrono is not my favourite, think its the bezel. But now a huge fan of view backs in watches, like the Radiomir nice clean simple look.

Awesome deal my man I like the chrono, but the 210 (I think ) is sweet. Sandwhich dial, very clean, plain dial is hot. One question, how does it wear at 45mm? Do you find it rather large or no? Just wondering.

Yes Daren, the Radiomir! Clean looking watch. Is it 44 mm as well, or 45? Tell us about the finish and the movement.

By the way, do you realize that at first you had me a little worried with the title of this thread?
"If you flip, then do it with a BANG!! " I was hoping that I wouldn't some fugly Hublot on your wrist when I opened the thread. Fortunately there was a bang, but not a Big Bang! |

I have to apologize to Johnny too, the Sammy dial is the bomb!! I am loving the way it looks and also the throw back to it's roots.

Well done, Daren. Both are good looking pieces, although, believe it or not, I kind of like the simple look of the Rad a bit better. But enjoy them for the two or three weeks that you plan to keep them.

Thanks guys. I gotta admit, I thought I would love the chrono 10 to 1 but I really can't decide which one to wear. I should not ever get 2 watches at the same time again.
