Question on Penarai.

I have a budding interest in these watches as I really like their styling.

Could someone send me to a website that would discuss why some of these timepieces carry such a high premium? The price ranges of the SS models appear to be between $4500.00 and $14000.00 preowned. Is it the rarity of the production numbers or something else?

I just need a good source of information on models, production numbers, movement differences, and relative prices.

Thanks!

Probably the best source of information on the net for all things PANERAI.

Thanks Mike. I have visited this site several times, but not really seeing something like a list or document that shows the models, prod numbers, and pricing. I will continue to read Paneristi though.

It just takes time, but feel free to ask away. I don't mind answering questions.

Also, look through panerai.com. They have four main types of Panerai categories..
Historic (manuals)
Contemporary (autos)
Manufattura (in house)
Special Edition (one year runs)

Right on. Their site isn't nearly as nicely laid out as TRF, but they are good people.

The site has a list of production numbers and MRSP. Most tend to hold their value well and some are next to impossible to get from an AD not so different than the ss Daytona; however, since the economy is tanking I am seeing discounts and watches sitting around.

Yes, now you more easier to find the items you like with "nice" price than before.
