mmmm..... chunky! Have to say I love the look of that! Looks like you could drive a tank over it with impunity!

Not sure about this, got 2 Pams but I reckon Rolex does "Sub" better than Panerai. Sd gets my vote.

Why would Diving watch need GMT funktion?
IMO it's from pilot's and exporer's tale.

Err, a pilot who also dives or a diver that travels all over the world to dive. LOL

I love the 243, just a great watch with the fiddy case but it is a ton of watch, much more than a SD. For everyday use I would personally pick the SD over the 243 just from a comfort standpoint, but both a re great watches.

FWIW, I have about 7.5 inch wrists and wear Panerai most of the time, but enjoy wearing my DJ alot and even recently picked up a Sub-Date and have been wearing it daily.

That Seiko Spring Drive diver is awesome, in terms of case design and bracelet and of course, that movement!! Don't think it's in production any longer though.

The SD hands down. Throw the Seiko in the mix and then I have a problem!

That watch is built like a tank, and carries a hefty price tag to boot. MSRP in Japan : 472,500 Yen (apprx. $ 4110 USD)

My choice would still be an SD.
