Your watch is from the 1930's early 1940's.

More photos would be great.

Rolex does not communicate by e-mail. You can find their address on the "Net though, and send them a nice letter.

I don't believe so. Rolex does not offer the same research services that some other brands do.

As I said either late 1930's or very VERY early 1940's.

As you can see the calibre 700 movement is 17 jewel but the cap jewel for the upper escape wheel is using a bezel that utilizes a single screw that is installed from the bottom of the train bridge. This was abandoned VERY early in the 1940's for the easier to manage 2 screw type that works from the top of the bridge.

The balance is a Super Balance as stated on the ratchet wheel...BUT if I make out in the photo correctly it is the SOLID ARM super balance...not the split arm version. The solid arm balance was also abandoned for the newer style right around 1940.

Pull the winding stem out one click...then you can set the hands.

You might try rocking it back and forth slightly...to see if some remnant of dried up lubricant can be coaxed on to the portion of the set bridge...it's either rusty or dry or both. It needs to be serviced.

Does it wind and run?
