Vintage Rolex value

I have found two Rolex watches that i would love to buy, but the seller is not sure on a value and neither am I. Is it fair for me to ask anyone in the know what their opinion is on these two pieces in terms of their value and collect-ability? I believe they are both 1968

They are both beauties, and you and the seller should do some thorough research. You won't get guessed values posted up here, but you should check the trusted sellers section here and contact some of them for their opinions, or just do your own research on relative/comparative values, based on the references, condition etc. Good luck!

There are plenty of realistic places to look. The FS threads here and some of the trusted dealers. DO NOT get your values from places like Ebay the like. If you're looking for honest opinions, take a look through here and some of the trusted dealer sites and compare what you have with what they sold a similar for. Make sure you are comparing apples to apples as the slightest thing, such as the dial or insert can greatly affect the value. Make sure you know WHAT you have to find out its worth. Also, check if either of them have original paperwork, hang tags, boxes, etc... GL! :)

I forgot to mention that neither of them have box or papers and the Daytona has an inscription on its back.

my knowledge is pretty limited, but I believe the Daytona has a service dial which will affect the value by a few(?) thousand Dollars

ps the engraving can be polished out...
