Silky smooth old Jubilee...

A well 'broken in' vintage Jubilee is the most comfortable bracelet I've used. It's like silk on the wrist and the fit is superb. I recently put this one back on this 1603 for the summer, not bad for 47 years old. Do you use an original Jubilee? Let's see it!

Yes! I do! You just don't notice the scratches as much. :-)

I hope the insert police don't come and arrest me...I think the gold brings out the gilt in the dial nicely :-)

From one extreme to the other. Both silky and comfortable. .. one still has its structure.

With no flex.

Indeed...light and comfortable. And after wearing a modern piece for a day or two, there is always a shock as the wrist presence is quite minimal comparatively speaking...

Although mine is less broken-in now that it had a Michael Young spa treatment... :-)

I see someone provided links for you. The one on the 1603 is from HK and has been on there over a year. It is 316 steel and sapphire and well made. The water resistance is the same as the original case back. lol you'd be surprised how zen it is to take it off during a busy day and watch that tiny universe tick away for a few moments. :)

Gentlemen thank you for sharing those gorgeous puddles of Rolex steel!

No longer have the watch, but kept the jubilee explicitly because it is the most comfortable bracelet I've worn-

A Question for the group -

I noticed the folded sides on Richard's jubilee and some of the others seem to be polished- mine is the same, yet most I see on watches or for sale are not polished like that.

Does anyone know why? Is it just that some were polished when their watch was polished, or did Rolex deliver some polished and some not?

Here are better pics of mine -

Does it come with a removal tool?

Best to let a watchmaker put it on for you, it requires a special tool. Most would do it for not a lot money. Be sure to retain the original case back.

The watchmaker can usually pressure test it for you as well.

I've never seen that before... Is that a 1603 with an aftermarket crystal without the cyclops... did you choose to add that as a preference?

Love the wide boy dial btw

Thank you. Yes, aftermarket crystal - actually, it's an Omega crystal, but I don't remember which one or where I got it. It was recommended in a post on VRF some years ago.

I'm partial to wide boys also, so it was hard to let go of that DJ. But I wasn't wearing it and felt it should go to someone who would. I still have my WB DD however - scroll down, you'll see it here
