1967 Datejust 1601 water resistance?
Hey guys,
Got my 67' 1601 back from the watchmaker. Had a service last year, but went in this time for gasket / crystal replacement because the previous crystal recently cracked. The crystal purchased is aftermarket (he is a very experienced watchmaker, over 30 years and sources the best quality). Pressure testing passed. I like to wear my watches all the time. I also go on vacation a lot and this is my daily, and feel more comfortable wearing it to the pool / ocean instead of leaving it in my room. but I always hear "it's an old watch, I wouldn't shower or swim with it" when dealing with vintage. But if it passes pressure testing shouldn't it be okay? May be an insane question What're your thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I assume you should be ok if it passed a pressure test. Very little pressure would come from a dip in the pool or wearing the watch in the shower.
