10 minute chrono - really?

Hi all.
Hulk and Casio.jpg.pdf
I was on holiday in September in sunny Lanzarote, but didn't want to get sun tan lotion on my Rolex Hulk. Answer - buy a cheap 100 euro Casio Edifice. It looks good and is 100 meter waterproof. It wasn't until I was reading the instructions that I realised it was a 10 minute chrono - yes a pathetic 10 minute chrono! Has anyone else got one? Why on earth did you buy it? If I wanted to hard boil an egg it might be useful - but what the hell? Thoughts and comments appreciated!

The ten minute chrono is designed for yacht racing. I am by no means an expert on casio or yacht racing, but when they shoot the starting gun (or siren or whatever) your boat can not cross the starting line until exactly ten minutes has expired, then the race officially begins. The concept is when you hear the start, you hit the chrono to know how much time is left before you can cross the starting line.

How about a one-minute chrono for dragster racing? Pretty cool if you ask me

That, and if you cook your eggs for more than 10 min, you over did it.
