What are everyone’s thoughts on a Lange 1 Timezone?

The dial is a bit busy, but it’s still a beautiful watch

It’s a little busy but am really digging it. I guess I have two concerns...

First, should I have any reservations about dropping that much on a Lange? Some folks seem to have strong opinins there.

Second, if I do go for a Lange, do I go all out and get a Datograph?

All watch purchases should be bought on the merits of how much it appeals to you.
If you’re worried about how much it will depreciate by, you’re in the wrong hobby — it’s a luxury item, and if you can’t reconcile writing off the cost, then the simple truth is that you can’t really afford it.
If you still really want it, in spite of the above, then always buy pre-owned and let someone else absorb the bulk of depreciation first.

This is my newest watch. I find it beautiful and it makes me happy. And if you ever have a free minute, it's extra fun to look at the movement.

I don't think it's too busy. If you travel, everything is in its place. Every element has a job to do, and they does so elegantly.

had a rose gold version of the tz - love everything about the watch, but it requires young eyes, or old eyes with glasses to see the details...

I think it’s a beautiful piece and always notice it whenever I’m looking at Lange displays .. however since you mentioned it, especially if money isn’t a big factor, then I’d go for the dato! Beautiful watch and even sexier movement!

I sold mine. I really liked it but was not wearing it often. I have a datograph up down and prefer that model but the timezone 1 is a great watch

It is a baller watch. Would buy in a heartbeat if I could afford to travel with it. Unfortunately, I don't jet private...

While I'm a big Lange fan, I'm not a big Lange 1 fan. That written, I think the Timezone is one of the most attractive versions of the watch and it is truly beautiful. Still, if you're considering the Datograph, I'd go for it or an 1815 Chronograph, as they're in a different league in terms of movements. I think it really depends on which Lange you're drawn to most and which complication you want.
