What should I buy next?
Hi I currently have a 5513 meters first

I have the same question. I guess it does not matter.
After the next one, you will be asking the same question again. |

There will always be "the next one" on your mind. I bought a Sea Dweller years ago, loved it, so got a Tudor Big Block to compliment it. Loved it, so got a D-Blue to compliment it. Wanted a little variety, so picked up a Bark Daydate. Loved it. Now I'm looking for the next one. I've been looking at 16570s and 16750s, because why not?
There were another dozen or so along the way that didn't quite float my boat, so I sold them and moved on. If I could have one back, it would be the 1979 1680 I once had. It was perfect, but prices were climbing and I wanted the Deepsea at the time, so the sale helped fund that. I'd buy it back in 2 seconds if I could. I know this is the Vintage section, but my point is: Buy whatever you like, not what we tell you! |

If the 5513 is the only Rolex you have, maybe a vintage DD on a strap as your next one?
I had a wideboy dialed YG model that was special. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

From the 5513 I'd venture over to the 1675 for some diversity. Unless too good of a deal on a 1680 comes along!

I’d choose the red sub.

I can’t imagine participating in a hobby/passion/pasttime/etc., and not knowing what I would want to spend (potentially upwards of) $20,000 on...and then asking strangers to tell me what!
Like others before me have said, Why not get something YOU love?? |

Frankly I'd get a DJ or DD or a 101x. My larger sports watches all seem to be in the same mental "box" - I'm wearing either (a) large sports or (b) small something else. If I already had a sports model I wouldn't buy another (40mm) model until I also had something smaller and more "suitable". Different strokes for different folks though.

I don't choose watches anymore, they kind of choose me..
What I mean by this is when I'm looking too purchase a watch the best examples will draw me in; whether it be a 1680, 1675, 5513, 1016 etc. It's all about the condition & patina, what rings my bell at that moment. I'm of the mindset that I cannot own too many examples of a single reference :)
Sure sometimes I'm seeking a particular reference but when the stars align I'm not going to pass up a stellar 5513 or 1675 in lieu of a mediocre 1680. Best Justin |

both if you can! a 1675 and a 1680 red (or white)
after my meters first 5513 I got a 1680 red, and a 1675(0) is on the radar.... |
