Was the 5711 new from an AD with your name on papers or preowned?

The other issue is having 2 different versions of the same watch. Very difficult to do in this price bracket. The over/under on one of them being sold or traded is 6 weeks. I’d take the under.

I love the idea of having two watches the same but with different configurations. Whenever I saw my blue dial and silver dial royal oaks next to each other in the winder, alongside my two Daytona’s, I loved it!!
If they did two 5990’s and if I could afford it, I’d deffo be adding a second!! But then again, multi-zone climate control in cars is wasted on me, as I need to have all zones set the same, and on an even number!! I’m a bit of an odd-ball!! Oh, and I love the 5726 and am not quite so fussed on the 5711 - so - do it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Would give the 5711 some more time to grow on you. You’re new to Patek, and in my experience, it takes some time to really figure out what you like. If you regret the sale, getting another 5711 will be hard.

I know you said the 26 looks better in person but those pics make it look really used. i would rather put more $ in and get a new 5726

not sure exactly how to best proceed. the gray decided to "clean it up" anyway, so I will check it out once done. but really not sure.

I really do love this idea as well. And really, this is not so different from the 5711 and the 5726 as a pair. The white 5711 and the white 26 are basically identical in nearly all ways.

It seems like you’re getting a good deal then - box, papers and a 2 year warranty with Patek at the dealer’s expense. You’re probably getting a good price as the 5711 is nearly as good as cash.
The only issue I can see is that if you later sell the 5726 you won’t be able to sell as unpolished. I would compare it very closely to your 5726 to see how it looks. |

If the polishing is done correctly it will be impossible to tell that’s been done.

It's not a 2 year warranty with PP, it's with him and that he would pay for any repairs needing to be done. My guess is if/when that time were to come, he will either try to have it done by someone he knows or himself. I would walk, be patient and find one without all the question marks. This isn't the only white 5726 out there and you seem to only be doing it because he is making it easy for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

The 5726 is indeed beautiful. But there is only one watch in the world which I prefer over the white 5711 (aka 'piano dial'): the 5712/1A.

I own the 12 and am looking for a white Nau in near future.
I understand your feeling about 26, it is better than 11 at any points but the reputation. If i were you i would flip the 26 on strap for money to get 26 white, living with 2 white ones is not something wrong ^^. After few months you may find another path to go^^ |

Both looks similar, I would go for 5711 as I think 5711 should like submariner without too much on the dial.
For annual calendar layout I chose the 5396 for its PP dressed watch look.

Well, they did end up “cleaning it up”.
Looks clean to me. But at this price point would appreciate your thoughts. For certain I’m concerned with the edges being less sharp. What do you think? I’m by no means obligated to purchase.

Seth, the edges are definitely not as sharp. I’d pass.

Hard to tell, as the closest edges all seems a little out of focus. From what's there, the edges do seem somewhat rolled. Too bad.

Very difficult to tell from the photos, but the bezel looks like it’s chamfered. If you’re not 100% on it I’d pass.

Not only the edges but the surface looks grainy compared to a factory finish. Pass, but I have been saying pass from the beginning, so I am biased.

The 'clean up' looks a bit off to me.
I'd pass Seth.
