Icon7 <<<< 372/422 Picture Contest FINALISTS >>>>

It took me 2.5 hours to whittle all the submissions down to three pictures. Everyone submitted AMAZING pictures! There were way more 372 pictures than 422. There were a lot of things I could have factored into judging the most "compelling" argument for these watches. Sure the "Panerai DNA", 47mm size, plexi/sapphire, etc all play into it but at the end of the day the appeal (to me) of these watches is their simplicity and clean dial design. The pictures that most exemplified those traits (IMHO) are:

Honorable mention goes to Michael (Meric @ TZ) but he didn't submit it himself so his doesn't count but was worth posting again.

Drew (Aboen)

Travis (travisb)

Panos (PanosI)

Forgetting the various differences between these watches, which is the most compelling picture in your opinion?

great selection, mike!

quick question before voting: would you prefer we judge based on which we think is the "best" picture, or, which picture makes us most want one of the watches?

depending on your thoughts, my vote is different....

Another for Drew. The background and the slightly weathered strap bring out all of the 372's colors.

in that case, i have to vote for panos' picture. something about the glow of the plexi, the perfect strap, the dial and dial font....it all comes together so well. i just want to put it on immediately.

i think drew's wins for "best picture", though, for the composition and color (panos --- you lose "best picture" points for the items in the upper left and right + your fingers in the bezel, but, i still voted for yours, as per above).

I had to help Panos a little by mirror flipping his excellent picture.

Actually there were several of yours that I really liked... especially the one with the AP in the background. However I tried to select the ones that were undoctored and best displayed the full dial (the case being equal). I also excluded most wrist shots so as to not detract from the picture with "too big" opinions.

PS: I'm going to run a similar contest over on the AP side.

I know I'm a "finalist", but I gotta say, that pic by Panos is crazy nice (my favorite of the 4).
Drew's pics are always insane.

Wow Mike, i never imagined that when i was having fun with the kitCam app for iPhone and its mirror flipping options (hence the lefty 372 ) one of these pics would have selected to the finalists of a picture contest. Thanks a lot for that sir !

I voted for Drew, his pic is on another level

Faced with a similar dilemma I went with a 423 but that wasn't one of your choices, which is cool.

I told you we all had a shot if Drew didn't enter!

OK, well, Panos shot is amazing, and I'm sure everyone who sees Drew's shots are impressed as they are stunning.
Michael's is nice, but I don't think it shows off the watch as it makes the crystal and crown seem too flat.
OK, so, my vote was for Drew as well.
Cheers and nice contest Mike.

Well, by a pretty big margin, the winner is Drew! Well done my friend. Thanks everyone for contributing. I think the picture thread will serve as a great picture reference for future buyers of these models.

As for what I've decided... you'll have to wait and see!

Great photos of some very enticing PAMs!

Congrats Drew - all are winning shots but in the end there can only be one... and now let's see which "one" Mike's gonna go home with...
