Yeah. I'm done for awhile. I have a trade coming up in the next few months and then I'm taking some time off to just wear and enjoy things.

Hmm... Have you seen the updated AP 42mm ROO novelties?

I have. I like the white one, but to be honest, my collection is too big already. I may sell a piece or two just because I can't possibly wear all of them. Besides which, it is time to upgrade my car soon, and I am extremely excited about the options I am considering...

I have 8 pieces right now and it's hard for me to give them all wrist time. They mostly just sit at the bank. So I do hear you, maybe it's time to consolidate and get something like a perpetual minute repeater?

I hope you post your vehicle considerations somewhere on the forum, I'd be interested.

I do have a nice spread of pieces. I can't think of any I would want to sell off hand. I know some pieces I could sell with no loss because of recent auction prices. Others I would lose a little. I may try and sell the Blancpain Dark Knight since I have so many diving watches and I will likely wear one of the Panerai pieces (or both) on vacations from now on. They are subtle enough to not draw too much attention.

Basically I'm considering a used 2012 McLaren MP4-12C right now. I'll let someone else take the intitial hit.

I test drove one yesterday. What a blast. Smoothest shifting car I've ever been in, ever.

Hot! The McLaren dealership in Palo Alto has my drool spots on the floor and nose print on the window. I still wouldn't trade out my 911, it's like a Rolex GMT for me it just works and ticks all the right boxes.

I went to a couple great Panerai events in SF last year but I still haven't bought one. I nearly ordered the new Regatta as a vacation watch.

I was also considering the 2014 Porsche GT3, but it sort of went out the window after driving the McLaren. I had a Lotus Elise and Exige S240 previously, and the McLaren has all the fun aspects of those cars without the bare-bone annoyances.

McLaren is a different class of car in my opinion and obviously much more exotic than a GT3, although if you do what I did and get a wild paint to sample color you will have people taking pictures with it and such anyway.

The McLaren at the showroom in Palo Alto was orange and guaranteed to stop traffic.

I'm going with a more subdued color. My wife doesn't like the flashier colors.

I will likely test drive a Porsche 911 Turbo S soon as well, just for comparison. I tried a 2012 Audi R8. Very nice drive, but not as continuous on the acceleration as the McLaren. I may try a 2014 R8 since there is a nice increase in the shift speeds in the newest model.
