Rolex 5512 dial variations

Hi all,

I am looking for a good source to refer to in terms of the dial variations of the Rolex 5512. I found some info for gilt dials here http://www.5513mattedial.com/5512/1963.html

But I cannot find much on the non-gilt dials.

Could anyone help?

Thanks!

Thank you so much!

Is there any other source that can show the different white dial variations of 5512?

I'm looking for a 5512 to invest!
But the dial variations are driving me nuts!
If you start looking at the details! Are some fake dials?

like this?
Both are fat 4? is that MK1? 1971 they say the watch is made.
The Top one had a slight different opening at the 5, the 4 is more flat.
The Top one has more open 6's at the feet. The SUBMARINER font is different on both, variation on the S and R, cleary visible!

so what is going on? I cant find a good guide!

Inputs and thoughts from the community and experts on the dial in a 1979 Rolex 5512 (image attached here) would be very much appreciated.

Is this dial original to the watch, or is it a service dial? If it is a genuine Rolex service dial, is it worth purchasing (no box or papers) for a daily assuming it's priced accordingly?
And, how much of a value in difference between the original dial and this service dial in a late 5512? Being the watch is a circa 1979 (matte dial, ft first), does it make a big difference in terms of value between an original dial and a genuine service dial?

Anything that’s flagging on the watch overall (such as hands and inserts)?
